Why Kineo Exists

Kineo is a founder-led product shaped by a long relationship with tennis, years of building software, and a belief that good coaching should be more accessible.

The tennis side of the story

Tennis has been part of this story since childhood. In a big family, summer camps were the easiest way to get kids out of the house, and tennis camp was the one that stuck.

The frustrating part came later: getting serious improvement usually meant paying for private coaching, and that gate of entry was not realistic for a lot of families. That problem never really went away.

The game stayed part of life through high school and beyond, and that experience also included teaching newer players how to start the right way from the beginning. Kineo is meant to help more people do that sooner, with less cost and less guesswork.

The builder behind it

Kineo is built by the founder, Briggs Milburn, with a background in implementation engineering, internal tooling, product systems, BI architecture, automation, and full-stack delivery. That matters because Kineo is not just an idea about tennis. It is a product being shaped with the same focus on clarity, process, and practical execution that drives real production systems.

Experience across client-facing implementation work, internal product tooling, analytics, and iterative software development feeds directly into how Kineo is being designed: explainable, useful, scalable, and grounded in real player needs.

What Kineo should do for players

Tennis is one of the best workouts for older players, one of the best thinking games out there, and a lot of fun even when you are still rough around the edges.

Kineo is meant to help keep the points going. It should help parents get kids started without immediately paying for expensive coaching, help adult players build better habits, and give people a clearer path to improvement regardless of where they begin.
